Activ Sports Summit's Clever Take on Multi-Brand Event Seating

THE BRIEF

Activ Summit faced the common event challenge - six sponsors (C4 Energy, Comcast, Bose, SeventySix Capital, Stadia Ventures, and Plug and Play) all wanting visibility while keeping the event looking professional and coordinated.

What they came up with was brilliant: functional seating with character. Lightboxes people could actually sit on, with cheeky sports messages on the tops like "Sit like a champion" and "Take a mulligan on standing." Each sponsor would get their moment while the whole setup looked cohesive and engaging.

WORKING TOGETHER

They found us on Google a few weeks before their event, which worked well for a project with six different sponsors to coordinate. With multiple brand approvals needed, having that timeline meant we could explore different approaches to make everyone look good together.

  • We created different mock-ups showing various ways to spread sponsor logos across multiple cubes.
  • Worked around their sponsor approval schedules - these typically involve longer approval processes.
  • Gave them design templates so they could create all their witty sports messaging.
  • We tried different approaches until we found the right mix of sponsor visibility and personality.

MOVING FORWARD

They took some time to plan everything, but soon they had it all figured out. Different coloured cubes - black, blue, white, yellow - with specific sponsor combinations for each. Smart way to give each sponsor their own space without making the whole venue look like a patchwork.

Each cube would be different. Some with multiple sponsor logos around the sides, others focusing on Activ Summit's own branding. All topped with those brilliant sports messages. They also added in an 80cm column with Bose and Activ Summit logos for extra punch.

SMOOTH DELIVERY

Once all the sponsors had signed off on their designs, we got everything made and delivered well before their event. Gave them plenty of time to plan their venue layout and get everything positioned exactly where it would work best.

Every cube arrived exactly as planned - each with its own look, colours, and messaging. Just unpack and position wherever they worked best in the space.

WHAT THIS ENABLED

Those different colours meant they could create distinct areas throughout their venue - yellow cubes for one zone, blue for another. Makes the whole space feel more planned and interesting rather than just scattered furniture.

All six sponsors would get proper visibility while looking coordinated and professional together. The sports messages were the clever bit though - it gives people a reason to sit down and potentially share photos. When someone posts a picture sitting on "No red card for sitting," that's your event getting social media coverage.

People need somewhere to sit anyway - these do double duty, working for your sponsors too. Better than buying chairs and then having separate sponsor displays eating up more space.

KEY ADVANTAGES

  • Works well for multiple sponsors - everyone gets seen while keeping the whole thing looking coordinated.
  • Gets people posting - witty messages give people something worth sharing about your event.
  • Saves space and budget - seating plus branding in one, instead of buying chairs AND separate displays.
  • Perfect for sports events - the humour and functionality just works for active, energetic crowds.
  • Actually gets used - proper furniture that people actively engage with, creating more value than static displays.
